If you are looking for a new e-reader that is able to not only display chapter books and magazines, but also other digital content, you might want to check out the Amazon Kindle DX. The equipment does have a variety of features, but it is up to you to decide if it is right for you, as there are dozens of other e-readers and table computers available for purchase.
Black and White Screen
Unlike other e-readers, the Amazon Kindle DX does not have a color screen. Most new devices have a colorful display. This does save on battery power, and if you are just going to be reading books with the Kindle, this shouldn’t be much of an issue, however it is not adequate for looking at pictures and most Internet based content. On the plus side though the Kindle DX does not have any glare, so it is going to feel more like an actual book in your hands.

WiFi Internet connection
The Amazon Kindle DX does have a wireless Internet connection, allowing you to connect to the Internet in order to obtain the latest books, magazines and newspaper articles. There is no cost to use the WiFi feature, and it is able to last up to one week on a single charge, so it is powerful enough to last for most trips you are going to take, without lugging around the charger.
Touchscreen Void
The Amazon Kindle DX does not have a touchscreen interface, unlike other Kindle designs and different table computers. However, there is a keyboard right on the bottom of the device for you to make your item selections.
Amazon Kindle DX Formats
The Amazon Kindle DX is able to read a variety of different text formats, including PDF. PDF is a standard electronic delivery format that holds onto the formatting of all the information, so the text appears as it should, no matter what device it is viewed on (such as the Amazon Kindle DX). You can read files such as PDFs, blogs and other content.
