Our family has two daughters at university. Their studies could benefit from having an eBook reader. The problem is, “Which eBook Reader Should I Buy?” I have read many ereader reviews. My head is spinning. After considerable research, I have narrowed the search down to four models. Every one of these four e-reader models I am sure my daughters certainly would appreciate.
- Amazon Kindle Keyboard Model
- Barnes & Noble Nook Color
- Barnes & Noble Simple Touch
- Barnes & Noble Tablet
e-Reader Data Overload
I was about to decide but came across a website that had ereader reviews for ten models in an easy quick look comparison manner. Now I can see that all four of these e-reader models have features that I like. The one that was my first choice, the Amazon Kindle Keyboard model has dropped in my ranking. This is because there are several things the other three all have that the Kindle Keyboard model does not.

Screen Technology Comparisons
I really became confused between the types of screens. I wanted to get a color e-reader and thought the LCD screen, which all the color models have, must be better than the eLink technology. That is one reason the Kindle Keyboard dropped in my personal ranking. It turns out the Kindle models with eLink screen have the latest technology. I believe that helps you when reading outdoors in sunlight.
Physical Size and Storage Capacity
For my purposes there is no reason to compare sizes as I hope the keyboard model comes out on top and it is, of course bigger than any e-reader without a keyboard. Now when it comes to storage capacity there is, finally a reason that one is preferable. The Nook has slightly larger storage than the Kindle but, and here is the kicker, the storage memory of the Nook is expandable and the storage memory of the Kindle is not expandable.
Color versus Black or White
One daughter has decided on the Barnes and Noble Nook Simple Touch e-reader. That was not even on my list before checking these ereader reviews. It has the expandable storage memory and the eLink screen technology. The other daughter picks Barnes and Noble Nook ereader. Which screen technology is better will be obvious in just a few days.
