E-Reader Comparison: Samsung Galaxy Tab vs ViewSonic G Tablet

The technology contained within E-Readers has evolved considerably throughout the past few years. The first e-readers contained revolutionary e-ink technology and later fused with tablet computers. Many tablet computers include e-book apps that allow users to read books. Recently, two new tablets: ViewSonic G Tablet and Samsung Galaxy Tab, have incorporated e-book apps and forever fused e-readers with ever evolving tablet technology.

Samsung Galaxy TabAdding to the growing innovations of tablet computers, the Samsung Galaxy provides beautiful displays and supersonic speed. The Galaxy Tab by Samsung has leading-edge software provided by Kobo called Readers Hub. This application grants users the ability to connect with an online book store that has about 2.2 million ebooks in many formats available for download. Reading on the Samsung Galaxy is smooth and uncomplicated; a delightful experience for any avid reader.

The Stimulating ViewSonic G Tablet

ViewSonic gtabletA viable and ideal alternative the Samsung Galaxy, the ViewSonic G Tablet offers an overall better e-reader. This e-reader is fast, light and has an amazing battery life. A plethora of eReader apps are available for use on the ViewSonic and they work incredibly fine. Sadly, though, the shape of this device makes reading uncomfortable. Using the ViewSonic G Tablet specifically for the e-reader is not recommended.

E-Reader Comparisons

Reading with the ViewSonic G Tablet is bothersome while the Samsung Galaxy provides a pleasant e-reading experience. Both tablets have the same 16GB internal memory. The ViewSonic G has a larger screen compared to the Samsung Galaxy. The Samsung Galaxy offers a unique e-book application called Readers Hub which is innovating the eReader; the ViewSonic G has many e-book apps such as: Nook, Kindle, and Kobo. Access to these stores provides a wide array of ebooks that can be bought.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab and ViewSonic G Tablet offer unique ways of reading. However, the ViewSonic G is extremely uncomfortable when in use, while the Galaxy has an ease of use that makes reading with it more enjoyable. The pair of tablets, also, are similar in many ways, but for the relaxed price, the Samsung Galaxy is the more captivating choice.
