The Velocity Micro Cruz is an e-reader that enables its users to read ebooks that are available online. Owners can read almost two million books through Borders library portal and Cruz bookstore. The device’s seven- inch, 800 × 600 pixel resolution screen makes for ideal viewing; and not just books, but magazines and newspapers can be read on the Velocity as well.

What You can do With the Velocity
Reading is not the only thing you can do with the Velocity. You can also watch movies, listen to music, look at and store photographs, or view your email or social network sites. A dictionary, an alarm clock, a calendar, and a notepad are built into the device, all of which are very useful for finding information, taking notes on the go, and keeping records, shopping lists, lists of things to do, not to mention the many games that you can play. In addition, many other apps are available for download that can enable you to do lots more with your Velocity. By using your thumb and index finger, you can zoom in on the screen; it is sensitive to fingernails, so there is no need to smudge the screen with the pads of your fingers.
What Customers Think of It
I am sorry to say that a great many customers are disappointed with the Velocity, and given it a rating of only one star. One complained that it would not stay connected to the Internet; another, that it is difficult to read with and causes problems when you hit the screen too hard. Others, however, have given it three to five stars: They know it is not meant to be used as an iPad, but that it works well for its purpose.
So buy yourself a Velocity Micro Cruz, and you will have something that was impossible even a decade ago— a means of having hundreds of thousands of books at your fingertips, right in your own pocket!
