The Kindle weighs in at only 10.3 ounces (less than a typical paperback). The reader is 7.5″ tall, by 5.3″ wide, and 0.7″ thick. The display is a 6″ electronic paper display with 600 x 800 pixel resolution at 167 ppi, 4 level gray scale. Storage capability is 256 MB internal (about 180 MB for user content). The Kindle supports SD memory cards up to 4GB SD memory cards (memory card is not included). Connecting to a PC or Mac is via a USB 2.0 (mini-B connector) or wirelessly through Amazon Whispernet coverage from Sprint.
